last, latest

这两个词都是late的最高级。用作形容词时，last 在意义上和latest有点相近，实际上，它们的涵义和使用场合是不一样的。
last: 指连续顺序中的最后一个，一般译作“最后的”，有时译为“上一次的”或“过去的”。last的对语是first.
